He runs through my mind like children on a playground, captivating my every thought.
He is the calm I’ve been searching for.
The sudden burst that fills your lungs after you’ve been held under water,
He is the sun finally peaking through after a gruesome winter, where the light was stripped and death was welcomed.
But no more.
Now the sun danced between the reminents of death, bringing forth regrowth and life,
Beaming with all that could be,
A new world being formed at the grace of his glance.
The light from his eyes bounces from the dewdrops that cling tightly to their host.
He is the rain the brings flourishing meadows,
The wind that carries life,
The waves crashing down in full force leaving hope scattered throughout the sand.
He is the breath that will fill your lungs.
He is the fuel to the fire that lights the way.
He is love.
As I closed my eyes, he held me tight, and kissed me softly into the night.
And in that moment I felt it then, that feeling I had never hoped to feel again.
Slowly first, then all at once your love consumes me, until I crumble at last.
